HOLLYWOOD REPORTER – Six drag queens will compete for the crown as part of an annual fundraiser in downtown Los Angeles. Best in Drag Show — the electric annual drag show pageant that serves as a benefit for Aid for AIDS, a program of Alliance for Housing and Healing — returns to the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles on Oct. 8.

Set to take a seat at the judge’s table Sunday night are actors Dylan McDermott, Selma Blair, Leslie Grossman, Maggie Q and Holland Taylor, along with Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry. Six drag queens will be duking it out for the crown. The contestants are (drag names first, real names in parenthesis): Miss Florida Lexi Pro (Antonio Martinez), Miss Louisiana Joan Crawfish (Ricardo Ferrise), Miss New York Anita Tony (Joshua Skidmore), Miss Pennsylvania Soanna Quilt (Joey Gyondla), Miss Texas Dawn Renae Glamzi (Peter Korth) and Miss Washington Rachel Profiling (Chuck Jones).

Originally founded in 1989 by Alexis Pittman with a small group of friends in his West Hollywood living room, Best in Drag Show, or commonly referred to as BIDS, was then called Battle for the Tiara. Alice is a rational-minded sleep doctor, haunted by the mysterious nocturnal death of her younger brother. Whilst performing a routine examination on a traumatized family with sleeping problems, Alice is attacked by the father in his sleep. The father is arrested and blamed for causing the family’s sleep issues, but when he is thrown into jail and the problems get progressively worse, Alice is forced to abandon scientific rationale and accept that the family is being terrorized by a parasitic demon who feeds on the weak whilst they sleep: the Night Hag. In order to defeat the dark spirit who was also responsible for her brother’s death, Alice must journey into her own nightmares and confront her childhood demons.

Hey guys! First of all, I’d like to apologize for falling way behind on the updates, specifically on the gallery. I got very busy and the updates piled up. But fortunately, I finally had time to focus on it. I was aiming to complete it before Season 2 starts, but I couldn’t make it in time so I’m one day late, sorry!

Anyway, the gallery has finally been updated with high-quality stills and high-resolution screencaps from the remaining episodes of the first season of Designated Survivor, along with stills from the Season 2 premiere; and high-quality photos from several events that Maggie attended this year. Make sure you give our gallery a visit!

No surprise here, Maggie is one of the three ‘wonder women’ who were named as this year’s Sexiest Vegan Celebrities. It was a three-way tie, including Ruby Rose and Jenna Dewan-Tatum.

PETA has declared 2017 the Year of the Vegan Wonder Women in its annual Sexiest Vegan Celebrity contest, handing the title to Ruby RoseJenna Dewan Tatum, and Maggie Q in the contest’s first three-way, all-women win. Other contenders included Kate McKinnon, Colin Kaepernick, Swizz Beatz, Ricky Gervais, and Chloë Grace Moretz.

Designated Survivor star Maggie Q hit the streets to stick up for animals this year, not only leading a PETA protest against Canada Goose’s coyote-fur coats but also coming out to support the Toronto woman who was arrested for giving water to dehydrated, slaughter-bound pigs. The actor previously starred as a nearly nude Mother Earth in a PETA ad that proclaimed, “Fight Climate Change With Diet Change.”
