Indefinite Hiatus

Written by Jasper on May 30 2023

Hi everyone, I thought I’d post about it here too instead of mentioning it on the Twitter account only. I’ve been going back and forth about keeping this site or closing it, so I’m putting it on indefinite hiatus until I come to final decision. I will always be a big fan of Maggie, it’s just the whole maintenance process of the site — financial, time, and motivation — that’s the major factor playing here. I’m also taking this opportunity to thank everyone for visiting and supporting the site all these years, it truly means a lot.

Maggie Q to Lead ‘Fear the Night’

Written by Jasper on April 30 2022

Exciting news! Maggie is back in the action-thriller genre as she teams up with director Neil LaBute for Fear the Night. Principal photography has already begun earlier this month.

DEADLINE – “Fear the Night” centers on an Iraqi war veteran named Tes as she prepares for her sister’s bachelorette party. As the festivities unfold, the party is abruptly interrupted by a group of home invaders who quickly take the house under siege looking for a hidden fortune. Surrounded by the frightened party-goers, Tess soon discovers that the ruthless attackers are hellbent on not leaving any witnesses behind. That’s when Tess strikes back.

“It’s an absolute privilege to have the opportunity to team up with Neil on a second project,” said Quiver Distribution Co-Presidents Berry Meyerowitz and Jeff Sackman. “Especially with such a powerhouse actress in the lead, we can’t wait to share this suspense-filled film with audiences.”

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Berry and Jeff and the outstanding team at Quiver on this exciting action-packed thriller,” said Highland Film Group CEO Arianne Fraser.

“Maggie has starred in a host of major action titles and is huge draw to international buyers. ‘Fear the Night’ is the perfect addition to our Cannes slate,” added Highland Film Group COO Delphine Perrier.

Pivoting is a comedy staring Eliza Coupe (Happy Endings), Ginnifer Goodwin (Once Upon a Time) and Maggie Q (Designated Survivor) “about how we deal with life, death and all the crazy things that happen in between. Set in a small, middle-class town in Long Island, NY, the series follows three women — and close-knit childhood friends — as they cope with the death of the fourth member of their group. When faced with the reality that life is short, these women pivot, and alter their current paths, by way of a series of impulsive, ill-advised and self-indulgent decisions.” The show is written and produced by Liz Astrof (The Conners).
