‘Pivoting’ Trailer

It’s May, so it’s upfronts time! Fox released trailers from four of their upcoming shows, all premiering mid-season, including Pivoting!

Pivoting is a comedy staring Eliza Coupe (Happy Endings), Ginnifer Goodwin (Once Upon a Time) and Maggie Q (Designated Survivor) “about how we deal with life, death and all the crazy things that happen in between. Set in a small, middle-class town in Long Island, NY, the series follows three women — and close-knit childhood friends — as they cope with the death of the fourth member of their group. When faced with the reality that life is short, these women pivot, and alter their current paths, by way of a series of impulsive, ill-advised and self-indulgent decisions.” The show is written and produced by Liz Astrof (The Conners).

Fox Picks Up ‘Pivoting’ to Series

It’s official! Fox has picked up the comedy pilot, Pivoting, to series. The half-hour single-camera comedy stars Maggie Q, Eliza Coupe, and Ginnifer Goodwin.

Pivoting follows three women (Coupe, Goodwin, Q) after the death of their childhood best friend. Faced with the reality that life is short, in desperate attempts to find happiness, they make a series of impulsive, ill-advised and self-indulgent decisions, strengthening their bond proving it’s never too late to screw up your life.

The cast also includes Tommy Dewey, JT Neal and Marcello Julian Reyes.

Maggie Q to Star in Fox Pilot ‘Pivoting’

After her stint in the film, The Argument, Maggie continues on the path of the comedy genre as she is set to co-lead in Fox’s comedy pilot, Pivoting, alongside Eliza Coupe and Ginnifer Goodwin!

DEADLINE – Written by Astrof and to be directed by Tristram Shapeero, Pivoting follows three women — Amy (Coupe), Jodie (Goodwin) and Sarah — after the death of their childhood best friend. Faced with the reality that life is short, in desperate attempts to find happiness, they make a series of impulsive, ill-advised and self-indulgent decisions, strengthening their bond and proving it’s never too late to screw up your life.

Maggie Q’s Sarah is a tightly wound doctor, fresh out of a divorce from her wife who cheated on her. This combined with the loss of her childhood friend, Coleen, makes her rethink her life decisions. In the pursuit of an easy, happy life, she leaves medicine and tries to get a job at a local supermarket, which concerns but also excites her best friends Amy (Coupe) and Jodie (Goodwin).
